Fall, winter or spring...
It does not matter what time of year it is raining. You just can't roof in the rain.
We can't predict the weather in Pittsburgh and we all know how quickly the weather changes here. Your roof serves as protection from wind, rain, snow, sleet and whatever else our weather throws at us. When we are installing a new roof, it is important that we work on as dry of conditions as possible. Excessive moisture during installation could present some problems.
ROOFERS DON'T INSTALL IN THE RAIN
If we experience a bad weather day when you roof is scheduled for installation, the project may be delayed.
Installing a new roof in the rain can put your home and roof at risk. A wet roofing deck may grow mold or mildew causing the roofing materials to change shape or rot. Shingles may not adhere properly.
Our crew would also be at risk if they attempted to roof in the rain. A slick roof can cause serious injuries and/or damage to your own property. It is just not worth the risk of workers or property to try and roof in the rain.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN IT STARTS TO RAIN?
If a sudden shower pops up, our roofers will be ready for it. They will cover all exposed parts of your roof immediately to protect from any potential damage. A few drops of rain will not cause any real damage but if the wood gets wet, we might have to wait for it to dry completely before resuming work.
CL FREY IS THE RIGHT ROOFING CONTRACTOR
Because it is not just rain that may present a problem, you want to hire an experience and professionally trained roofer. We know that your roofing project will go smoothly - weather permitting or not.
